Happy Australia Day!

Happy Australia Day to all! This year, take a leaf out of the Little Corella’s (Cacatua sanguinea) book; sit up and take notice of your surroundings. Hang around with friends, walk and drink in nature, chat and swap stories or simply enjoy your own space, eat well and give yourself time to dream.

  1. My granddaughter is spending the night with me while I decided to check for an email I am waiting on for work. I decided to visit you when I didn’t find what I needed. She loved your bird pictures. I’ve had to let her scroll back and forth to decide which one was her favorite. 🙂 You and I don’t share the same species of birds so this was a treat for both her and I. Happy Australia Day to you.

    • It is fun looking at birds from the other side of the world, they look so exotic. I’m pleased your granddaughter enjoyed them, she must share her grandmother’s love of nature.

      • It is fun to view your birds and how I wish we had a few of them here to watch. Yes, my granddaughter does share my love of nature and is very in tune with it.

  2. Is THAT what they are? We just call them the “bald cockatoos”. You can add to the list “get in a big group and scream uncontrollably for ages at sunset”. I reckon the birds probably do that too😉

  3. Gosh, they sure are cute, but– I thought kangaroos were supposed to have little pockets in front. And I didn’t realize they had beaks, either… : )

A belated Happy Aussie Day to you, Jen!!
