Sweet

What is sweet?

The taste of honey on the back of the throat, apple blossom, the sound of bees harvesting pollen.

A smile from a stranger, a sweaty hug from a child, the smell of  a new born babe.

Chocolate.

The scent of spring in the air, roses slowly unfurling.

Tiny creatures.

Pastel pink vintage Angora cardigans.

Sleeping dogs and children.

A few days ago lovely limemilkshake nominated Winter Owls for the Super Sweet Blogging Award. Thank you very much!

If you would like to accept this award the rules are:

  • Thank the lovely blogger who nominated you for the award
  • Answer the set questions
  • Nominate 13 other amazing blogs (a baker’s dozen!)

So answering the five questions:

1. cookies or cake?

Do I really have to choose? I think cake might just sneak in.

2. chocolate or vanilla?

Dark chocolate of course.

3. favourite sweet treat?

Almond dark chocolate.

4. when do you crave sweet things the most?

Around 3.00pm when my energy is flagging.

5. if you had a sweet nickname what would it be?

Oh dear, I’m finding this too challenging! I really can’t answer this one.

I found it very difficult to choose which blogs to nominate, there are so many lovely ones.

  1. The sweetest of sweet posts beautifully illustrated. I love your sleeping beauty. And I happen to be eating a piece of homemade apple and honey flapjack while reading this. Couldn’t be better 🙂
